Consultation
At HCS, our first step is to meet with you to fully understand your vision for the construction project. The initial consultation is complimentary, and we aim to get to know you and understand your space better.
During this first consultation, we will:
- Understand your style and vision
- Discuss the areas of your home that you would like to expand
- Walk through your space to help you envision the possibilities for your project
- Discuss your expectations and budget
Once we have completed our initial consultation, we will prepare a preliminary design for your review. This design allows HCS to create a “Fixed Price Proposal” rather than a random estimate based on assumptions. We value transparency and honesty, so our Fixed Price Proposal offers a realistic budget aligned with your financial expectations.
Design & Development
When you are ready to proceed with Hardt Construction Services for your new construction or home addition project, we prepare a Design Development Agreement.
The HCS owners, Michelle and Tim Hardt will review the Design Development Agreement with you in person. They won’t let you sign until you are confident that your project has been planned with your best interests in mind. Incredible attention to detail is taken by our team of architects and designers to ensure that every step of your home addition or new construction project is laid out in full detail for you.

Michelle and Tim will present you with a Design and Budget Review only when you have met with the HCS team extensively and are ready to proceed.

Construction
Your project coordinator and team lead are your main contact points throughout your construction project. This will be your dedicated team from start to finish. They will be on hand to address any of your concerns and to communicate with you for the duration of your renovation.
In addition to your team, every client is given full access to an online portal where job photos and updates are posted. Because home additions and new construction projects can take months, your team and your client portal are there to reassure you through every step of the process.
Final Handover
When your home addition or new construction project is complete, Tim, Michelle and your project team will guide you on a full walk through. You will have a project binder which is prepared for you and includes a full list of all products used in your project, and care and warranty information for everything. They will review every aspect of your construction project and what to expect from your new space.
Our client commitment is not done when your project is complete. HCS will be here to assist you with any questions or issues you may have after final handover.
